Artist's comments: “The award-winning painting 'Chuckle' was my first watercolour using an abstracted background. It was one of 50 artworks shortlisted for the Artist & Illustrators ‘Artist Of The Year’ Award and was exhibited at the Mall Galleries, London as part of the AOTY exhibition. It was also a return to side saddle painting (one of my very early subjects). The horse, Pip (Vintage Port), is known for going indoors to attend his owner's gatherings so hence the print title! Pip went on to become a Riding for the Disabled horse and was RDA Horse of The Year in 2017.”
