Artist’s comments: “These two black Labradors, Pickle and Widget, had a great time playing on the beach at Studland Bay with my dog Riley. They then flopped on their chairs to snooze back at home. Originally a commissioned watercolour painting, and my first attempt at painting water – the waves in the background. The pencil drawings of the sleeping dogs were remarques on the mount. The client asked if I could make it into a card design, so I included the drawings to complete the story.”
